We purchased our first horse in February of 2008,
by May we were questioning our choice. Apollo’s “cold back” caused
him to bolt, sending my daughter flying into the arena fence. Several
scars and a fractured wrist later, we were wondering if he would be
a safe horse for a young rider. Within three sessions, Gail was able
to address Apollo’s issues. Gail’s services made a huge difference,
Apollo is safer to mount and much calmer. ~Chris Parsons
( Apollo, 6yo Warmblood gelding, massaged 3 times
with outstanding results and now he massaged on an as needed basis because
of some conformation issues)
I just got in from riding Lizzy and WOW, she’s like a different horse! She was so relaxed and had no tension in her neck at all! She took her left lead and her canter on both sides was a ton more balanced and much bigger! She definitely made A LOT of progress today!! THANK YOU ~Carolyn
( Lizzy, 10 yo Quarter Horse mare, 3 massages with complete relief!)
My 7 year old mare was showing signs of severe arthritis in her hind legs so we started her on Cosequin and hoped that it would relieve her stiffness. After about 6 weeks she was better, but not great. I had Gail massage her and she found lots of muscle knots in her croup and thigh area. After just two massages Faranth is moving much better and seems more comfortable! She really liked the massage and is trying to find a reason to get another! ~Catherine
( Faranth, 7 yo Warmblood mare, massaged twice and feels great!)
I can not thank Gail enough. She never gave up hope, when I really never had much. She said we would see results fast and we did. If someone told me this story I don’t think I would believe it. It is still unbelievable to me. Several thousand dollars, 3 years of bucking, more heartache than I can define and now she is back 100% after just 3 massages. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!! But true. ~Karen Campodonico
( Jesse, 12 yo Quarter Horse mare, massaged three times and no more bucking! )
Jesse’s Story:
I have a beautiful, 15.3 hand, 12 year old registered Quarter Horse mare that my daughter won many, many year end high point awards on until May 2005, when she started BUCKING out of the blue. We checked the saddle, the pad, the girth, her feet and everything else we could think of and still she BUCKED!
Months later she was still BUCKING. We had the vet out again, but couldn’t find anything wrong, maybe some arthritis in her hocks, so we injected her hocks. She still BUCKED!
We had a natural Horseman evaluate her and spent the next 6 months doing Natural Horsemanship. She still BUCKED!
We had a Vet/Chiropractor examine her who thought she may have ulcers. We spent a fortune on ulcer meds and put her on pasture rest for 3 months. After 5 months of slow recovery, she still BUCKED!
It had been almost 2 years at this point and we were very frustrated, very sad and terribly concerned about what had happened to this mare. She was still BUCKING!
I continued to look for answers to her bucking. Scoped for ulcers, treatment for ulcers, more rest, alfalfa hay, low starch feed, high calcium hay, stress free environment etc. She still BUCKED!
Now it had been 3 long years and we had given up hope that this mare would ever show again! She was about to begin her life as a broodmare when Gail Came along. I have to be brutally honest (sorry Gail) and tell you that I never thought Gail could help her let alone fix her!
I never thought massage could make a difference. Gail found her shoulders and hind quarters were extremely sore with lots of muscle adhesions. After our 1st massage there was a change, I can’t really say what it was. She still BUCKED, but somehow it wasn’t the same. After our second massage, she was definitely different. She was still sore, but no where near as bad as the previous times and she was no longer post legged at the canter. My daughter rode her that afternoon and she DIDN’T BUCK! The first time in 3 long years that she DID NOT BUCK!!!!!!
That was last fall -2007. And to be perfectly honest, the mare has NOT BUCKED since then. My daughter put her to work through the winter and started the show season Spring ’08 with all 1st place ribbons. She showed her at approximately 9 shows this past season and she won Day End High Point at each and every show. She won Year End High Point in all 6 of her classes this year!! What a transformation!!
Aslan started striking when asked to canter on both reins, so I knew something was wrong, I asked Gail to come work some magic... by his second massage his canter transition was perfect again. We also noticed that Aslan's rear end muscle seemed to be separated into two, so he had two bottom curves, after 3 massages he now has one beautiful whole rear end.
Aslan is a much calmer happier horse, to the point that my 16 year old has started competing him this year, winning the championship at her first show last weekend. Thank you Gail! ~Heidi Platt
